Call for Abstracts Jarðfeingi invites you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations under the following suggested themes relevant to the evolution of basaltic provinces. Themes for 2nd Jóannes Rasmussen Conference • Origin of Large Igneous Provinces • Emplacement Processes • Timing of events • Geochemical evolution The above list is not exhaustive and other topics relevant to basaltic provinces will be considered. The abstract template can be downloaded in Microsoft Word and RTF formats. The completed abstracts should be return via email to Uni Árting, ua@jf.fo no later than Friday, 1st March 2015. Oral presentations will be allocated 20 minutes, and 3-5 minutes for questions. Posters shall be prepared on A0 (841 x 1189 mm) portrait paper. Due to the lack of space, landscape posters will not be accepted. Presentations from students are encouraged and if there are enough submissions there shall be a best student talk and poster prize. The abstract volume shall be available for download in PDF format following the completion of the conference. More information regarding the Drilling Volcanics – Conference on drilling in basaltic provinces will be circulated early 2015.
