Call for Abstracts

Jarðfeingi cordially invites you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations under the following themes relevant to the evolution of basaltic provinces.

The list is not exhaustive and other topics relevant to basaltic provinces will be considered.

It is envisaged that the oral presentations shall be allocated 20 minutes, including 3-5 minutes of questions. Only talks in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 (or earlier) format will be accepted. If you intend on having movie files in your presentations please ensure that the files are linked correctly or preferably embedded.

Posters shall be prepared on A0 (841 x 1189 mm) portrait paper. Due to the lack of space, landscape posters are discouraged.

Presentations from students are encouraged and if there are enough submissions there shall be a best student talk and poster prize.

The abstract volume shall be available for download in PDF format following the completion of the conference.

If there is enough interest, a special volume will be arranged for publication following the conference. If you are interested in submitting a manuscript, can you please indicate this on the abstract template. The manuscripts should ideally be submitted at the beginning of the conference on Wednesday, 29th August 2007. Guidelines for authors shall follow in due course.
